Big Fish 1kg – Groundbait

Van den Eynde Big Fish 1 kg is a coarse, all-round groundbait developed with former European champion Luc Vercammen for larger fish. It is primarily aimed at bream, tench and carp, and performs best in still and slow-flowing water.

Big Fish can be used on its own, but also combines well with other Van den Eynde groundbaits and additives. The coarse ingredients absorb relatively large amounts of moisture. Therefore, moisten the mix gradually in three stages, allowing the groundbait time to fully absorb the water between each stage.

Preparation

Add the water in three stages and mix thoroughly after each stage. Allow the groundbait to rest for a few minutes each time so the coarser ingredients can absorb sufficient moisture. After the final resting period, check the binding and only then finish the mix.

Official mixing recipes

Bream in still water

Mix one part Big Fish with one part Skimmer Mix. For every 4 kg of dry groundbait, add one sachet of Big Fish powder additive and one teaspoon of Super Sweet per kilogram of dry groundbait.

Carp-focused

Mix one part Big Fish with one part Supercarp Strawberry. For every 4 kg of dry groundbait, add one sachet of Strawberry powder additive.

Canal

For canal fishing, use a 1:1 mix of Canal and Big Fish.
