Match Expander Pellets - 300g – Floating Expander Pellets for Pumping

Mainline Match Expander Pellets are floating expander pellets that can be turned into soft, hookable pellets using water and a pellet pump. Once prepared, they remain firm enough to stay securely on the hook, while their soft texture provides a natural presentation.

The pellets contain high-quality fishmeal, proteins and attractive oils. They are suitable for a wide range of coarse fish and carp and can be used all year round, both for pole fishing and feeder fishing.

Preparation with a pellet pump

Place the dry pellets in the pump and fully submerge them in water. Create a vacuum and allow the air to escape so the pellets absorb water and sink. Then leave them to rest briefly and check the texture before putting them on the hook. Suitable pumps include the Ringers Pellet Pump and the Fun Fishing Pellet Pump.

Frequently asked questions

Why do these expander pellets need to be pumped?
Creating a vacuum removes air from the pellet and allows it to absorb water. This turns the floating pellet into a soft, sinking and hookable expander.

How do I know if the pellet is properly prepared?
A properly prepared expander sinks, feels soft and still remains firm enough to be carefully put on the hook without tearing immediately.

Can I use Mainline Match Expander Pellets all year round?
Yes. The formulation is designed for year-round use for various coarse fish species and carp.
