Van den Eynde 1-1 Super Paste 500g is a hook paste that you prepare fresh at the water’s edge. The paste is supple enough to mould easily around the hook, while having enough binding power to stay on well while fishing. As soon as the paste comes into contact with water, it changes colour, creating extra visual attraction around the hook bait.

Super Paste was developed based on the practical experience of European match anglers. Thanks to its simple preparation, you can adjust the firmness precisely: slightly softer for cautious bites or firmer when the bait needs to stay on the hook longer.

Preparation

As a starting point, use 0.9 parts water to 1 part dry mix. Mix thoroughly, then leave the paste to rest for approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Briefly knead it again afterwards and check the consistency. Only if necessary, add a very small amount of water or dry mix. Preferably prepare only what you need during the session.

Why do I use slightly less water than dry mix?

With a 0.9 to 1 ratio, the paste develops a mouldable consistency after resting without becoming too soft straight away. You can then fine-tune it very precisely.

Why does the paste need to rest for 5 to 10 minutes?

The dry ingredients need time to absorb the water evenly. Only after this resting time can you reliably assess the final firmness.

How can I prevent the paste from falling off the hook?

Knead a small portion thoroughly and press it evenly around the hook. If the paste is too soft, add a little dry mix; if it is too stiff, moisten it very carefully.
