Is this softshell jacket fully waterproof?

Preston describes the material as splash-resistant and does not specify a hydrostatic head for this jacket. Therefore, do not treat it as a replacement for waterproof clothing in prolonged rain. In persistently wet weather, choose the Preston DF Ultra 25K Jacket as a waterproof outer layer, for example.
