The Preston Response Whips are slim, fast-action Whips for fishing for small silverfish. Their lightweight, balanced construction is designed for a brisk fishing pace, for example when you want to catch lots of bleak or other small fish close to the bank.
Flick Tip and slim blank
Each Response Whip comes as standard with a Flick Tip and a screw-on end cap at the bottom of the handle section. The supple tip is suited to a fine rig setup; match the line and hook to the fish you expect and avoid overloading when landing fish.
Choosing a length for your fishing spot
For fishing right under the bank, a short Whip is useful. Extra length is helpful when the water is deeper or the fish are slightly further from the bank. Choose based on the reach you need and the depth of the fishing spot, not just the weight of the rod.
