Hookable Bait Bands

Preston Hookable Bait Bands are elastic, durable bait bands with a separate attachment loop. This allows you to quickly attach a pellet or other compact hook bait as a hair rig presentation to a spade-end hook, without tying a hair onto the hooklength yourself.

Place the bait in the elastic band and then hook the small loop behind the bend of the hook. The bait hangs freely below the hook, while the band can be quickly removed or replaced. This makes the solution practical when you want to change hook bait quickly while fishing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use these bait bands on a spade-end hook?

Yes. The extra loop is specifically designed to hook behind the bend of a spade-end hook, giving you a free-hanging hair rig presentation.

How do I attach the hook bait?

Carefully stretch the bait band around the pellet or compact hook bait. Then hook the small attachment loop onto the hook, with the bait hanging freely below the hook bend.

Do I need to tie a hair myself?

No. The band and attachment loop together form the bait attachment. This also allows you to quickly adapt an existing hooklength without a hair for pellet fishing.
