Bayonets – Bait Bayonets

Preston Bayonets are strong stainless steel bait bayonets for quickly attaching boilies, Band'ums and similarly firm hook baits to a hair. Simply press or screw the bayonet directly into the bait, allowing you to bait up quickly without first threading the hook bait fully onto the hair with a needle.

The compact bayonets provide a secure and precise attachment and are designed for hook baits with a diameter of approximately 6 to 10 mm. Each pack contains 20 pieces.

Frequently asked questions

How do I attach a Preston Bayonet?

Tie the eye to the end of the hair. Then press or screw the point into the centre of the hook bait until it is securely fitted.

What size hook baits are these bayonets intended for?

Preston recommends them for boilies and Band'ums with a diameter of approximately 6 to 10 mm.

When should I choose a bayonet instead of a bait band?

A bayonet is particularly useful for firm bait into which you can press or screw the point directly. A bait band fits around the outside of the bait and is therefore a different presentation method.
