The Preston Absolute 5G Cassette Bar Leg is the original front leg of the Absolute 5G seatboxes to which the cassette bar is attached. The cassette bar is the crossbar on which the sliding footplate moves. At each end, it has a clamp with a handwheel that closes around this front leg, so there are two on the seatbox: one at the front left and one at the front right. In the second photo, the leg is outlined in red.
Because the clamp is on the cassette bar, this leg itself has no leg clamp: it is a tube with a foot. It is therefore not the same as the standard telescopic 5G seatbox leg.
Key features
- Original front leg of the Absolute 5G, on which the cassette bar with footplate is clamped
- Tube with foot, without its own leg clamp
- Supplied individually
Compatibility
This leg is intended for the Preston Absolute 5G, the Absolute 5G Station White Edition, the Absolute 5G Station Black Edition and the Absolute 5G - 360 Station. If you are looking for the standard telescopic seatbox leg with its own clamp, choose the Absolute 5G Leg Standard 53cm.
The first photo is Preston's official photo of this individual leg, while the second shows where it is positioned on the seatbox.
Handwheels for the cassette bar, leg clamps and end caps for the 5G legs can be found on the Absolute 5G Leg Parts page.
