Canal 1kg – Canal Groundbait

Marcel Van Den Eynde Kanaal 1 kg

Marcel Van Den Eynde Kanaal is a heavy groundbait for fishing for roach and bream in deep canals, rivers and other flowing water. Its sticky composition helps create firm groundbait balls that sink quickly to the bottom and break down there in a controlled manner.

This classic recipe has been produced since 1970 and has a sweet aroma and a clouding effect. You can use Kanaal on its own for bream in deep water or combine it with other groundbaits and additives to adapt the binding, nutritional value and aroma to the conditions.

Mixing advice

Preferably mix Kanaal in three wetting stages and sieve the mixture when necessary. For a heavy bream mix, the manufacturer recommends equal parts Kanaal and Van Den Eynde Secret, supplemented with Bream Caramel or Vanilla. Only add live bait after moistening, so the groundbait balls remain firm enough to cast.

For bream in deep water, Kanaal can also be used on its own. Adjust the amount of water and the firmness of the groundbait balls to the depth and flow rate.

Frequently asked questions

What water is Van Den Eynde Kanaal suitable for?
This groundbait performs particularly well in deep canals, rivers and other flowing water where a heavy, well-binding groundbait is needed.

Can I use Kanaal on its own?
Yes. For bream in deep water, the manufacturer also recommends Kanaal as a pure bottom groundbait. For other conditions, you can mix it with additional groundbaits or additives.

How do I prepare this groundbait?
Moisten the groundbait gradually in three stages, allow it to rest between stages and sieve it if necessary. Only add maggots, casters or bloodworms afterwards.
