Match 100% Pure Ground Expander 1kg – Ground Expander Pellets

Mainline Match 100% Pure Ground Expander is a finely milled groundbait made entirely from expander pellets. During milling, the fishmeals and oils are released from the pellets, creating a soft, airy mix with a distinctive pellet attraction. The groundbait is suitable for commercial fisheries and targeted fishing for F1s, carp and bream, among others.

The fine texture makes this a versatile base for different baiting strategies. Use the mix on its own when you want to introduce little groundbait, combine it with micropellets for extra particles on the spot, or mix it with another groundbait to add more pellet character. With a little more water, you can also make a well-kneadable paste.

Key features

• Made from 100% ground expander pellets
• Fine, soft and airy texture
• Suitable as a standalone groundbait or as a base for groundbait mixes
• Can be combined with micropellets or other groundbait
• Can also be mixed into paste
• Suitable for use all year round
• Supplied in 1 kg packs

Use

Add the water gradually, mix thoroughly and allow the groundbait to rest briefly before checking the moisture level. For a Method mix, Mainline recommends mixing Pure Ground Expander in equal parts with Method Mix: this keeps the groundbait firm enough during casting while allowing it to break down quickly after landing. To make paste, add small amounts of water until the desired kneadability is achieved.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Pure Ground Expander without other groundbait?
Yes. The mix can be used on its own, for example when fishing in cold water or for cautious fish and you want to introduce a limited amount of groundbait.

How can I combine this groundbait with micropellets?
A mix of approximately equal parts groundbait and micropellets creates a versatile combination for F1s and carp. Adjust the ratio according to fish activity and the desired amount of groundbait.

Can I also make hook paste with it?
Yes. Add the water step by step and knead until the paste is firm enough to stay on the hook while still being supple enough to shape around the hookbait.
