Guru XS Carbon Cookie float

The Guru XS Carbon Cookie is a compact, exceptionally strong float for fast fishing for F1s and carp in shallow water. It was developed for commercial fisheries where accuracy, instant bite indication and resistance to repeated “slapping” are important.

The body is made from high-density foam and finished in matt black to reduce unwanted reflections. The carbon stem extends deep into the float body, giving the float a strong backbone. A central inline tube guides the line through the body, reducing the risk of tangles and offering better line protection during intensive use.

Fishing with an overshotted rig

With an overshotted rig, you use more shot than the float’s normal carrying capacity, causing the antenna to be pulled below the surface and creating a tight connection between the hook and pole tip. The small, robust XS Carbon Cookie is ideal for this when F1s are feeding aggressively high in the water. Use suitable float silicone to finish the rig neatly and reliably.
