The Guru slim maggot is a very popular bobber shape and style with countless applications, especially for ‘on the drop’ fishing with baits like maggots, casters, pinkies, and hemp.
The antenna of this bobber is probably its biggest advantage over other bobbers, as it features a pure cane tip.
When fishing ‘through the water’ and ‘on the drop,’ cane offers a great presentation and support for the hook bait, and it can be very easily adjusted, especially when the bobber is weighted down to the last visible tip.
When fishing in the upper water layers, the cane also greatly supports bait that is suspended above the bottom; a great bobber for fishing with casters in the upper water layers.
The slim body of the Guru slim maggot combined with a thin carbon antenna is perfect for ‘on the drop’ fishing, where the bobber smoothly follows the weights and rig as it sinks.
It also offers very little resistance on a bite and allows for a very smooth strike.
The versatility of this pattern is truly endless, and while it is perfect for use on canals and rivers with slow-sinking rigs, it is also suitable for loose feeding casters or maggots on commercial waters for coarse fish, and even for fishing with natural bait for F1s!
