Slider

The Guru Slider is designed for precise slider fishing in deep water and at longer range. The combination of a buoyant balsa body and a light, strong Sarkanda reed stem gives the float stability in the wind while retaining the sensitivity needed for clear bite indication.

The fixed 3-gram base loading stabilises the float during casting and helps reduce tangles. The remaining capacity is balanced with shot on the line, allowing you to tailor the rig to the depth, current and desired sinking speed. Four highly visible, interchangeable antennas allow you to react quickly to changing light and surface conditions. The Elastilex finish protects against knocks, wear and water ingress.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 3+ marking on the Guru Slider mean?

The float itself has a base loading of 3 grams. The number after the plus sign indicates how much additional shot is needed on the line to set the float according to its intended loading.

Why do I need a slider bead?

The bead runs smoothly over the main line but stops against the slider knot. This allows the knot to set the fishing depth without passing through the float eye or unintentionally through the rod guides.

When should I change the antenna?

Choose the colour and thickness that stands out most clearly against the water and background. In changing light or rougher conditions, you can swap the antenna without replacing the entire float.
