Description
The Guru Skimmer Hollow Carbon is a versatile pole float for natural waters, featuring a highly visible hollow plastic antenna and a carbon stem. The hollow tip combines visibility in changing light conditions with extra buoyancy, allowing larger baits such as pellets, sweetcorn and worms to be presented steadily.
The compact body is made from high-quality balsa to minimise resistance and water displacement. The elastic Elastilex coating surrounds the float body and helps prevent damage from intensive use and line wear. This makes the model suitable for anglers looking for a sensitive yet robust float for a wide range of conditions.

Frequently asked questions
What is the advantage of the hollow antenna?
The thicker hollow plastic antenna remains clearly visible in poor or changing light and provides some extra buoyancy. This means it supports larger hook baits better than a very finely set solid tip.
What bait is the Skimmer Hollow Carbon suitable for?
The float can be used with various bait types and comes into its own when the antenna needs to support pellets, sweetcorn or worms steadily.
Why does Guru use balsa and an Elastilex finish?
Balsa enables a compact body with minimal resistance. The elastic coating helps protect the body against wear and damage when the line presses against it during intensive fishing.
