GPS Micro Barb Spade End Pole Special – Spade End Barbed Hook

Guru GPS Pole Special hook with microbarb

The Guru GPS Pole Special combines fine bait presentation with surprising strength. This spade-end hook is designed for fishing with natural bait for roach, bream and other coarse fish, but is highly versatile for pole fishing, waggler and feeder fishing. The microbarb securely holds both the hooked fish and the bait without making the hook unnecessarily heavy.

The extra-long, razor-sharp point helps prevent live bait from sliding over the hook point. Thanks to the fine wire and spade end, you can tie subtle hooklengths for wary fish, while the strong construction provides confidence when playing fish. The black nickel coating reduces glare and supports the hook's durability and sharpness.

Frequently asked questions

What type of fishing is the Guru Pole Special designed for?

This hook is particularly suitable for subtle coarse fishing on natural waters and commercial fisheries. You can use it with a pole, waggler or feeder for species including roach and bream.

What bait is suitable for this hook?

The long point and fine wire make it highly suitable for natural baits such as maggots, casters, pinkies, bloodworms and small worms.

What is the advantage of the extra-long hook point?

The longer point helps prevent lively bait from sliding over and covering the point. This keeps the hook clear for fast and reliable hook-ups.

Why does this hook have a spade end instead of an eye?

A spade end allows for a slim knot with fine hooklength materials. This creates a light, natural bait presentation that is ideal for cautiously feeding coarse fish.
