FT8 – Float (5 pieces)

Fishing Things FT8 – float for the English style of fishing

The Fishing Things FT8 was developed for anglers who want to use the English style of float fishing on our ponds and canals too. The model combines clear bite indication with a stable presentation, making it a practical choice for targeted fishing for carp, bream and other larger silverfish.

The 1.6 mm antenna remains easy to read without making the float unnecessarily bulky. This helps when you want to fish in a controlled manner and follow small movements of the bait. When mounting it inline, use suitable float silicone and distribute it carefully over the lower stem.

Frequently asked questions about the Fishing Things FT8

When should I choose the FT8?

The FT8 is ideal when you are looking for a highly visible, stable float for the English style of fishing and are targeting larger silverfish, carp or bream.

What is the advantage of the 1.6 mm antenna?

This diameter offers a useful balance between visibility and sensitivity. It allows you to follow the float easily while still recognising subtle movements from a bite.

How do I mount the FT8 neatly inline?

Use suitable float silicone and position the float straight along the line. Distribute several short pieces of silicone over the lower stem and prevent them from pinching the line.
