Red Range 4K Feeder Reel – Feeder Reel

The Drennan Red Range 4K Feeder Reel is a compact and well-balanced feeder reel for modern feeder fishing. The 5+1 ball bearing system and high-quality internal gearing ensure smooth, consistent operation, while the finely adjustable front drag releases line in a controlled manner during the fight.

The anodised aluminium spool has a practical capacity of 100 metres of 6 to 8 lb line. With a 5.2:1 gear ratio, the reel combines fast line retrieval with sufficient power to retrieve a feeder rig comfortably. The screw-in folding handle provides a direct connection to the internal mechanism and can be stored compactly. Thanks to the line markings, you can also quickly see which line is on the spool.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the spool have a 100-metre capacity?

The shallow spool is designed for 100 metres of 6 to 8 lb feeder line. This means little or no backing is needed under the main line when using the appropriate line diameter.

What is the advantage of the 5.2:1 gear ratio?

This gear ratio offers a useful balance between speed and power. You can retrieve an empty feeder quickly without the reel losing its controlled feel during the fight.

What are the line markings for?

The line markings allow you to note which line strength or type of line is on the spool. This prevents uncertainty when taking several reels or prepared spools with you.
