Crystal Dibbers – Shallow Water Float (10 pcs)

The Drennan Crystal Dibber is a short, strong shallow-water float for carp, F1s and actively feeding silverfish. The transparent Crystal® body casts less shadow than a painted float, making it far less noticeable to fish feeding high in the water, along the margin or close to an island.

The hollow body is light and highly buoyant, while the bulbous fluorescent tip remains clearly visible even with larger hookbaits. The glued glass stem combines the stability of metal with greater durability than carbon. The side eye is upward-facing and firmly anchored between the body and tip, making it very difficult to pull out during normal use.

Key features

• Short float for shallow water, margins and far-bank islands
• Suitable for carp, F1s, roach, chub and other actively feeding fish
• Transparent Crystal® body that is unobtrusive underwater
• High buoyancy and very strong plastic construction
• Bulbous fluorescent tip for excellent visibility
• Glass stem for a stable and durable setup
• Exceptionally securely anchored side eye

Fit the glass stem with soft, correctly sized float silicone. For a quick presentation, you can place the shot as one compact group just above a short hooklength. Position the shot directly beneath the float when you want the hookbait to sink slowly and naturally through the upper water layers.

Frequently asked questions

Why does a Crystal Dibber spook fish less easily?

The clear body creates far less silhouette and shadow underwater than a fully painted float. This is especially important when fish are feeding just below the surface or in very shallow water.

What water depth is this float designed for?

The Crystal Dibber performs best from extremely shallow swims up to around 60 cm. You can use it in open water, along the margin or tight to an island when fish are feeding high in the water.

How do I determine the right shotting pattern for shallow fishing?

A compact group of shot around 10 to 15 cm above the hook gets the bait down quickly and directly. For a slower bait fall, place the shot higher up, directly beneath the float, so the hookbait sinks more freely through the water layer.
