Crystal Caster

The Drennan Crystal Caster is a strong and stable pole float for fishing in the upper water layers, close to the far bank or against islands. The transparent Crystal body is unobtrusive underwater, offering a clear advantage when carp, F1s or other wary fish are feeding shallow.

The flexible nickel-titanium stem brings the float into position quickly and controllably. This means you can also see early bites while the bait is still sinking. The short, buoyant Glow Tip remains highly visible against both dark bank vegetation and open water, and supports a range of hookbaits.

Frequently asked questions

What baits is the Crystal Caster designed for?

The float is primarily designed for casters, maggots and pellets. The buoyant antenna provides sufficient buoyancy to present these baits clearly and steadily.

Why is a titanium stem useful?

The slim nickel-titanium stem combines flexibility with stability. It allows the float to stand upright quickly and helps keep it steady when fishing in open water or close to the far bank.

Can I see bites on the drop with this float?

Yes. Because the float stands up quickly, you can let the line and bait sink in a controlled way and react sooner when a fish takes the bait while it is still falling.
