AS4 Pole Float 0.40g 🎁

The Drennan AS4 Pole Float is a compact, strong carp float for commercial fisheries. It was developed with five-time World Champion Alan Scotthorne for fishing larger hook baits in shallow to medium-depth swims, along margins and against islands.

The body-down design keeps the rig stable, while the 2 mm buoyant hollow tip supports sweetcorn, pellets, meat and worms well. The carbon stem helps the float settle quickly and smoothly. Thanks to the highly visible Glow Tip, you can also shot it sufficiently at distance without losing sight of bite indication.

Attach the carbon stem using soft, suitably sized float silicone tubing. When dibbing or fishing shallow, a spread shotting pattern helps the bait fall naturally; for a fixed bottom presentation, you can group the shot more closely together.

What hook bait can the 2 mm Glow Tip carry?

The hollow, buoyant tip is designed for relatively large baits such as pellets, sweetcorn, meat and worms. It remains visible enough to help distinguish genuine bites from liners.

Why is the eye positioned at the base of the tip?

This position provides a strong attachment without piercing the balsa body. The fully rounded, double-wound eye also helps prevent the line from becoming trapped or damaged in an open eye shape.
