Frequently asked questions
What are Catherine weights used for?
They are used to add concentrated weight to a coarse fishing rig. They are particularly practical when you want to adjust the weight quickly while fishing.
Are these weights suitable for a plop rig?
Yes. The Arca Catherine Lead can be used for a plop rig in pole fishing, where the weight helps guide the bait through the water in a controlled manner.
Can I remove the weight again later?
Yes. The design allows the weights to be easily attached to and removed from the line. Handle them carefully to avoid damaging the fishing line.
How do I determine the right weight?
Match the weight to the water depth, current, float and desired sinking speed. Use enough weight to keep the rig under control, but no more than necessary.
