Description
The Drennan Wide Gape Pellet Barbless Hooklengths 6" are ready-tied hooklengths of approximately 15 cm for commercial pole fishing with soft pellets. The bronze, barbless hook combines a wide Crystal Bend with a long, chemically etched needle point for fast hooking and secure hook holds.
The hook is forged for extra strength and precisely tied to nylon. Each hooklength is held flat under slight tension on a Drennan Hook Plate, keeping the line straight and free from kinks. This means you can use the hooklengths directly from the plate while maintaining a neat bait presentation.

Frequently asked questions
Why is this hooklength suitable for soft pellets?
The wide hook bend gives a soft pellet sufficient room, while the long sharp point can hook quickly. Position the pellet so that the hook point remains completely clear.
What is the advantage of the Hook Plate System?
The hooklengths remain stored flat and lightly tensioned. This creates fewer kinks in the nylon, allowing you to quickly attach a straight, correctly presented hooklength at the water.
When should I use a hooklength of approximately 15 cm?
This length is intended for many common pole fishing rigs on commercial fisheries. Always tailor your choice to the bait presentation, fish activity and local competition rules.
