Our parent company, Korda Developments Limited, is a renowned private limited company based in Essex, known for its excellence in the design and manufacture of high-quality fishing tackle. In addition, we are passionate about creating angling films for various platforms, including television.
While the Korda brand focuses mainly on the carp market, Tackle Guru has its roots in match fishing. However, with the expansion of our range of fishing tackle, we have also earned the appreciation of recreational and specimen anglers.
The foundation of both brands has always been helping anglers catch more fish. Every product is designed in-house and thoroughly tested, giving us complete control over every stage of the production process, from the original concept to the finished products found in angling shops worldwide.
Alongside our commitment to top-quality fishing tackle, Tackle Guru and Korda have had a strong presence in the world of angling films for many years. Our journey began in 2006 with the first series of 'Thinking Tackle', broadcast on Sky, and since then we have made an impression with programmes such as 'Fishing Gurus', 'The Big Fish Off', 'Monster Carp' and 'Fishing Allstars', with several series appearing on ITV4.
Korda was founded in 1992 by Danny Fairbrass and has grown into a leading brand in angling. Tackle Guru builds on that expertise and focuses specifically on match, feeder and pole fishing anglers. The range includes hooks, feeders and floats, as well as rods, reels, nets, luggage and other accessories. Both brands share the same focus: helping anglers catch more fish.
