Our mission – less plastic in rivers and oceans
Why this matters
As an angling shop, Carpshop24 feels strongly connected to water and nature. Clean rivers and oceans are important for fish, other aquatic animals and future generations. That is why we want to contribute, in our own modest way, to the fight against plastic pollution.
Our support for The Ocean Cleanup
The Ocean Cleanup is an international non-profit organisation that develops and scales technology to remove floating plastic from oceans and intercept plastic in rivers before it reaches the ocean.
The organisation aims to remove 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040. It combines cleaning up plastic already present in the oceans with tackling the inflow through rivers.
Carpshop24 supports The Ocean Cleanup through voluntary donations. These contributions are not linked to a fixed percentage or predetermined frequency. The amount and timing of a donation may therefore vary.
More information about the organisation, its technology and its results can be found on the official website of The Ocean Cleanup.
An independent initiative
The donations are made on Carpshop24's own initiative. Carpshop24 is not an official partner, sponsor or representative of The Ocean Cleanup, and is not endorsed or sponsored by the organisation.
