Van den Eynde Turbo is a classic, versatile groundbait developed in 1992 by Belgian champion Philip Carroyer. The groundbait is aimed at roach and bream and can be used on ponds, canals and rivers, both for match fishing and regular day sessions.

Turbo works well as a standalone groundbait, but above all provides a strong base for blended groundbait mixes. By moistening the ingredients gradually, they have enough time to absorb water, creating an even consistency that you can further adjust at the water’s edge.

Preparation

Moisten Turbo slowly in three stages and allow the groundbait to rest in between. Ideally, prepare it around an hour before use. Sieve the finished mix for an even consistency and add live bait only shortly before feeding.

Official groundbait recipes

• Still or very slow-flowing water: 2 kg Turbo, 500 g Supercup and 125 g Bream Caramel.
• Slow-flowing water: 2 kg Turbo, 500 g Secret, 500 g brown breadcrumbs, 500 g Special Match and 125 g Bream Caramel.

In flowing or deeper water, you can make the mix heavier and more binding with a suitable type of clay. Always adjust the amount to the depth, current and bait you mix into the groundbait.
