Magic Color 100g

Van den Eynde Magic Color 100 g

Van den Eynde Magic Color is a concentrated powdered dye that allows you to match the colour of your groundbait to the water, bottom and fishing conditions. This lets you darken or tone down highly visible groundbait when a strong contrast makes fish wary.

The fine dye also disperses as a visible cloud in the water. This makes Magic Color suitable not only for colouring groundbait, but also as a clouding agent when fishing for bleak and other small silverfish, or for mid-water presentation.

Add the dye gradually and mix it thoroughly into the groundbait to ensure the colour is evenly distributed. The required amount depends on the original colour of the groundbait and the desired result.

Official groundbait tip for the colder period

For an effective cold-weather mix, Van den Eynde recommends one part Feeder Coarse with one part Feeder Bream, Bream Caramel to taste, one teaspoon of Superzoet per kilogram of groundbait, and a dark Magic Color dye. This combines coarser feeder groundbait with added aroma, sweetness and a less conspicuous groundbait colour.

Why should I make my groundbait darker?

In clear water or over a dark bottom, light-coloured groundbait can stand out strongly. A darker groundbait colour reduces this contrast and can give wary fish more confidence to feed over the baited area.

Can Magic Color also be used without groundbait?

Magic Color is primarily intended for colouring groundbait, but the colour cloud itself can also be used when fishing for small silverfish and at mid-water depth.
