Van den Eynde Heavy Clay, also known as Terre de Fond, is a moist, heavy clay for deep or flowing water. It adds weight to groundbait, helps groundbait balls reach the bottom more quickly and supports a stable feeding area when current or boat traffic can move the bait.

The clay can be used on its own or mixed into a prepared groundbait mix. It is also suitable for degreasing live bait and for evenly incorporating maggots, casters or other bait particles into a heavy groundbait ball. Additives can be mixed directly into the clay or the complete mix.

How to use

Sieve the clay if necessary, then gradually mix it into the already moistened groundbait. Do not add the full amount at once: check the weight and binding of a test ball as you go. For live bait, you can use the clay to make the bait looser and less buoyant before distributing it through the groundbait mix.
