Dark 1kg – Dark Groundbait

Ringers Dark is a dark fishmeal groundbait for carp, bream and tench. Its dark green colour is less conspicuous against a dark bottom, making it a good choice in clear water, colder conditions or when fish are feeding cautiously.

The mix contains high-quality fishmeals, water-soluble fishmeal and algae. Once mixed, it develops an airy texture that breaks down quickly on the bottom and disperses the soluble ingredients. You can use Ringers Dark on its own or combine it with a lighter fishmeal mix when you want to tailor the colour, nutritional value and performance yourself.

Mixing instructions

Add the water in small stages and mix the groundbait thoroughly each time. Let the mix rest briefly, then check the binding and, if desired, pass the groundbait through a sieve. For a method feeder, it should be firm enough to withstand the cast but break down without hard lumps after it lands.

If you use this groundbait often, there is also a Ringers Dark 10+2 package deal.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose dark groundbait?
Dark groundbait is particularly useful when a light baited area would stand out too much, for example in clear water, over a dark bottom or when fish are wary.

Can I mix Ringers Dark with other groundbait?
Yes. The mix can be used on its own or combined with another fishmeal groundbait to adapt the colour, activity and nutritional value to the conditions.

How do I know whether the mix is suitable for the method feeder?
Press a small amount into the mould or around the feeder and test it at the bank. The groundbait should stay in place during the cast and then release evenly underwater.
