Superium 8m System Whip

The Preston Superium 8m System Whip is designed for traditional fishing with a long hold. The slim, stiff blank combines low weight with good balance, allowing you to handle the rod with control when fishing for coarse fish. In addition to the flick tip, the package includes an extra Hollow Top 3 Kit and a rod holdall.

Take-apart construction for different fishing lengths

The System Whip has a take-apart construction and a full length of 8 metres. This allows you to adapt the fishing length used to your swim and the conditions. Preston has also incorporated balance at shorter fishing lengths into the design.

The whip is intended for rivers, canals and stillwaters. The manufacturer lists both slow- and faster-flowing water as suitable applications, with an emphasis on speedy fishing and control over the rig.

Flick tip with rotating Dacron connector

The supplied flick tip features a rotating Dacron connector for quickly attaching your rig. This tip is intended for traditional fishing with a long hold. In addition, according to Preston, the System Whip can be used with a short elastic setup for larger fish.

If you make your own rigs, Preston Reflo Power nylon is a supple line for rigs and hooklengths. Match the line diameter to your setup, the fish you expect and the top section configuration used.
