Pelletpult – Groundbait catapult

The Preston Pelletpult is specially designed for compact, accurate feeding of pellets on commercial fisheries. The pre-shaped pouch with a flat base keeps the pellets close together while drawing back. This means they land more concentrated on the feeding spot, helping you maintain a consistent feeding pattern.

Double PTFE bushes in the frame help prevent the elastic from twisting or tangling. In addition to pellets, the catapult can also be used for conventional bait such as maggots and casters. Use the current variant selector to choose the complete Pelletpult or the appropriate replacement part. For safe transport and a longer elastic lifespan, store it in the Preston Hardcase Catty Safe.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the Preston Pelletpult have a flat-bottomed pouch?

The flat base prevents pellets from spreading widely throughout the pouch. They stay closer together and leave the catapult as a more compact group, helping to improve accuracy.

Can I only feed pellets with this catapult?

No. Although its shape is specifically designed for pellets, you can also feed maggots and casters with it. Do not overfill the pouch and adjust the pulling force to suit the bait being used.

What pellet size suits my Pelletpult?

The official Preston range is intended for pellets between approximately 4 and 10 mm. Choose the version in the variant selector that matches the pellets and feeding distance you use.

When should I replace the pouch or elastic?

Replace components as soon as you notice cracks, fraying, drying out or uneven pulling force. Also check the attachment points before every fishing day.
