Hollo Elastic

Preston Hollo Elastic – supple hollow elastic for pole fishing

Preston Hollo Elastic has been developed for smooth, controlled fish-playing with a pole. Its hollow design stretches progressively, absorbs sudden runs and helps maintain sufficient pressure on the fish. This makes the elastic highly versatile for commercial fisheries and natural waters, from roach and bream to F1s and carp.

Preston produces Hollo Elastic from high-quality raw materials to strict quality standards. The elastic is supplied in a sealed 3-metre pack, keeping it clean and in optimum condition. Thanks to the special manufacturing process, there is no need to inject lubricant into the elastic.

Key features

• Hollow pole elastic with a smooth, progressive stretch
• Suitable for both commercial fisheries and lakes, canals and rivers
• Provides control when playing fish and absorbs powerful runs
• Made from high-quality raw materials for consistent performance
• Supplied in a sealed 3-metre pack
• No internal lubrication required

Fitting and use

Ensure the pole tip is shortened sufficiently for the chosen elastic rating. An excessively bent tip can cause the elastic to stick to the inner wall and limit its performance. Smooth the opening with a suitable Preston PTFE Internal Bush. If you leave the setup fitted to the top kit between fishing sessions, Preston Hollo Elastic Protectors help prevent kinks and damage during storage.

Frequently asked questions

Which fish species is Preston Hollo Elastic suitable for?

Depending on the chosen rating, it is suitable for species including roach, bream, F1s and carp. Always match the elastic rating to the fish species, hookbait, line and type of water.

Does this hollow elastic need lubricating on the inside?

No. According to Preston, the special manufacturing process makes injecting lubricant into the elastic unnecessary.

How can I ensure the elastic runs smoothly from the pole tip?

Use a suitable, smooth tip bush and check that the tip does not bend too far. The elastic must be able to move freely through the tip without jamming against the inner wall.
