Bander/Disgorger Twin Pack – Bait Band Tool and Disgorger (2 pieces)

Preston Bander/Disgorger Twin Pack – bait band tool and disgorger

The Preston Bander/Disgorger Twin Pack combines two commonly used functions in one compact tool. One end features a safe disgorger; the other helps you slide an elastic bait band over small hook baits. This allows you to prepare bait and unhook fish with the same tool.

The banding tool has a recess where you can place, for example, a caster or small pellet. Then slide the band from the tool over the bait. The ribbed grip provides extra hold during delicate work. Use the tool with suitable Captura Baits Bait Bands when you want to attach hard pellets to your hair without piercing them.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use the banding tool?

Place the bait in the recess, stretch a suitable bait band around the end and carefully slide the band over the bait. Then check that the bait is securely attached before casting.

What bait is the tool intended for?

The recess is suitable for small, firm hook baits such as casters and small pellets. Preston specifically mentions casters and pellets of around 4 mm as examples.

How do I use the disgorger end?

Keep the line lightly tensioned, guide it through the slot and carefully slide the disgorger down to the hook. Apply controlled pressure until the hook is released, avoiding unnecessary pressure on the fish.

What is included in the pack?

The Twin Pack contains two identical multifunctional tools. This lets you keep one in your seatbox and one as a spare in your accessory bag.
