Monster X Feeder Rods 🎁

Preston Monster X Rods

The Preston Monster X range has been developed for modern commercial fishing, where accurate casting and control over hard-fighting carp need to go hand in hand. The progressive through action helps absorb sudden runs and reduces the risk of lost fish, without the rod lacking power during casting or when landing a fish.

On this product page, you can choose a rod suited to short to medium feeder distances, heavier method fishing or pellet waggler fishing. The feeder versions are fitted with interchangeable carbon quivertips with a 2.5 mm insertion diameter. Separate Preston Monster X Quiver Tips are available as replacements or spare tips.

Frequently asked questions

Which Monster X rod is best suited to my fishing?
Choose mainly based on technique, casting distance and the weight of your rig. A shorter rod is useful for compact feeder fishing, while extra length and power offer advantages with larger feeders and longer casts. For pellet waggler fishing, choose the version developed for this purpose in the variant selector.

Why is a progressive action useful on commercials?
The blank bends progressively further as the load increases. This allows you to cast accurately, while also absorbing powerful carp runs better during the fight.

Can I replace a damaged feeder tip separately?
Yes. Original Monster X quivertips with a 2.5 mm insertion diameter are available separately for the feeder rods in this range. Always check the rod model and the diameter of the original tip.
