The Matrix Plastic Cage Feeders are lightweight plastic feeders for both groundbait and natural bait. The open cage structure releases a dry groundbait mix quickly, while a wetter, stickier mix can also be delivered in a controlled way to a deeper swim.

Fast bait release with a stable presentation

Open cage structure for rapid groundbait dispersal
Versatile use with groundbait and natural bait
Rigid plastic arm with integrated swivel helps prevent tangles and supports accurate casting
Bottom weight positioned around the feeder allows it to land flat and remain stable on the bottom
Lightweight plastic body reduces resistance when retrieving

Match the groundbait mix to the swim

In shallow water, use a drier mix when you want to create an attractive groundbait cloud quickly. For deeper water, make the groundbait wetter and stickier so the contents stay in the feeder better while sinking and are only released close to the bottom.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose a cage feeder instead of an open-end feeder?

A cage feeder is particularly suitable when the groundbait needs to release quickly through the open structure and a bait trail or cloud is desired. A more enclosed open-end model generally keeps the contents contained for longer while sinking.

Why is the weight positioned around the bottom?

This weight distribution helps the feeder land flat and remain stable on the bottom. This presents the groundbait at the chosen swim without the feeder tipping over easily.

How can I reduce tangles when casting?

The rigid plastic arm keeps the feeder away from the main line. The integrated swivel allows the rig to move freely, helping to reduce twisting and tangles.
