Description
The Matrix Horizon X Ultra Pro Pellet Waggler Rod is designed for pellet waggler fishing on commercial fisheries. The slim blank, made from lightweight Japanese ultra-high-modulus carbon, feels crisp during casting and recovers quickly, allowing you to present the waggler accurately and repeatedly over the same feeding line.
The softer, carefully tuned action progressively comes into play during the fight. This helps absorb the powerful runs of carp and F1s on short lines and reduces the risk of hook pulls. At the same time, the rod remains responsive enough to pick up line and maintain direct contact when a fish swims towards the bank.
The lightweight MHLG/HLG RS Silicon Nitride guides reduce friction during casting. An ultra-light carbon reel seat and slim black EVA handle keep the rod comfortable to hold during long sessions. The two-piece construction breaks down into equal-length sections. Select the exact length of the currently available model from the dropdown menu on this page.

Frequently asked questions
Why does this rod have a softer action?
Pellet waggler competitions are often fished with relatively short lines and powerful fish. The softer action cushions sudden runs and helps keep the hook in place more effectively during the fight.
What are the benefits of the blank's fast recovery?
After casting, the blank quickly returns to its original position. This means the rod continues to vibrate for less time, allowing you to cast a pellet waggler more accurately to the same spot.
Why does Matrix use lightweight guides and a carbon reel seat?
Less weight on the blank keeps the rod lively and well balanced. This is noticeable when holding the rod for long periods and recasting frequently.
