The Matrix Horizon X Ultra Pro Distance Feeder Rods have been developed for large feeders, long casts and river fishing. The slim blank made from Japanese ultra-high-modulus carbon recovers quickly after the cast, helping to combine distance and accuracy without losing the progressive playing action.
Oversized XBG RS guides with silicon nitride rings reduce line resistance during distance casting. An ultra-light carbon reel seat and the slim black EVA handle keep the build efficient and comfortable. Each rod model is supplied with two 3.4 mm carbon feeder tips. You can find additional or replacement tips in the Matrix Horizon X Ultra Pro Distance Quiver Tips range. For a powerful distance setup, the Matrix HX Pro Feeder Reels are a functional addition.

How do I choose the right model for my fishing distance?
Base your choice on the total weight of the feeder and groundbait, the desired casting distance and the current. For longer casts or heavier river work, you need more length and casting power. The current models and their casting weights are shown in the product selector.
Why do these rods have extra-large guides?
The oversized, smooth rings limit resistance during casting and also allow a shock leader knot to pass through more easily. This is particularly useful for long casts with heavier rigs.
Which replacement tips fit these rods?
Use the Horizon X Ultra Pro Distance Quiver Tips with a 3.4 mm fitting, then choose the tip strength that suits the feeder weight, current and wind. Other Horizon tip series may have a different diameter or action.
