After soaking for a few minutes, the 2 mm pellets develop a sticky outer layer, allowing them to be pressed compactly into the method feeder. Once in the water, they quickly break down. This also makes them interesting for difficult fishing situations, when you want to offer a small amount of groundbait with a rapid release. They can also be fed accurately using a pole cup or bait cup.
