Jones – Float (5 pieces)

Fishing Things Jones – paste float for shallow water

The Fishing Things Jones has been specially developed for fishing with a ball of paste on shallow ponds and commercial fisheries. This compact float helps you present the soft bait ball in a controlled way and makes changes in presentation quickly visible. This gives you more confidence when carp and F1 are feeding close to the bank, against an island or in a shallow area.

The Jones is designed for pole fishing and is supplied in packs of five. Fit it with suitable float silicone tubing so the lower antenna is neatly secured along the line and you can set the float accurately to depth.

Frequently asked questions about the Fishing Things Jones

What is paste fishing?

With paste fishing, you mould a soft ball of paste around the hook. The float helps you monitor whether the bait is still presented correctly and registers both regular bites and lift bites.

Why is the Jones suitable for shallow water?

In a shallow swim, a compact, light rig is important. The Jones allows the paste to sink in a controlled manner and limits unnecessary resistance when a fish takes the bait.

How do I shot this paste float?

Keep the shotting pattern simple and adjust it to the depth and size of the paste ball. Shot the float so the antenna remains clearly visible, and check it again whenever you change the amount of paste.
