Like all Drennan pole rigs, Crystal Dibber Rigs are hand-tied in our own factories to our exacting standards. Quality components are used throughout, with accurately shotted floats and securely tied knots.

Each rig is tied to a responsive line from 0.18 mm (5.8 lb) to 0.23 mm (8.9 lb), depending on the rig size. They also feature loop-to-loop connected hooklengths from 0.16 mm (4.9 lb) to 0.20 mm (6.9 lb) and Wide Gape Carp or Power Carp Riggers hooks from size 16 to 12.

The floats used are our award-winning Crystal Dibbers, which are strong, buoyant and purpose-made for catching carp in shallow water. They are ideal in depths down to around 1.2 metres – whether in open water, along the margins or close to an island on the far bank. The transparent body is also much harder for fish to detect. Fluorescent red, orange and yellow tips are available to suit all preferences.

Each Dibber Rig is supplied on a super-strong pole winder with clearly printed information, stating the float, line and hook size.

The rigs are tied to a 1.5 metre line, which can be shortened further if desired. In good conditions, we recommend having between 30 cm and 60 cm of line above the float. If it is windy, or if the fish are particularly wary of swimming under your pole tip, then 1 metre or more of line above the float may be better.

The floats are precisely shotted with a neat amount of shot. You can adjust the shot position by moistening the line and carefully sliding the shot up or down one at a time.
