Acolyte Silverfish 6" Hook Plate System – 15 cm Barbless Ready-Tied Hooklengths 💰

The Drennan Acolyte Silverfish 6" Hook Plate System offers ready-tied, barbless 15 cm hooklengths for fine pole fishing for roach and other silverfish. The lightweight Silverfish spade-end hook has a very sharp, durable needle point and is designed primarily for subtle presentation of small natural baits such as maggots, casters and pieces of worm.

The hooks are carefully hand-tied to soft Acolyte Fluorocarbon. This material is barely visible underwater, allowing the bait to move freely and naturally, which helps when fish are feeding cautiously. Each hooklength is kept straight and lightly tensioned on a flat Hook Plate, so the rig is ready for use without coils or kinks. The plates are compatible with the matching Drennan Hook Book and Hook Box storage systems.

Frequently asked questions

When should I choose the Acolyte Silverfish version?
Choose this fine version when fishing with small baits for roach and other silverfish, and a light, discreet presentation is more important than maximum strength.

Which bait works well on the Silverfish hook?
Maggots, casters and small pieces of worm are well suited to this fine hook pattern. Use enough bait to keep the hook point clear and enable quick striking.

What is the advantage of the ready-tied hooklength?
The hook, knot and loop are already finished consistently. This allows you to change quickly at the water's edge while maintaining the same length and presentation across successive hooklengths.
