Marukyu Commercial EXP 2kg – Groundbait

Cresta Marukyu Commercial EXP 2kg is a fine, soft groundbait made from 100% ground expander pellets. Its medium binding power makes the mix easy to prepare and ensures it breaks down easily on the bottom. Even the finest particles sink and temporarily create a subtle cloud around the feeding spot.

This versatile groundbait has been developed for bream, tench, carp, roach and F1 carp. It performs particularly well on heavily fished commercial fisheries and in still natural waters up to around 3 metres deep. You can use it for pole fishing, with a standard feeder, Method or Hybrid feeder, and as a soft Paste.

For an additional groundbait mix, you can combine Commercial EXP with Cresta Marukyu Commercial Method Plus or the matching Cresta Marukyu Micro Method Pellets.

Preparation

Method and Hybrid feeder: use two parts dry groundbait to one part water. First add approximately 70% of the water, mix thoroughly, leave to stand for 10 to 15 minutes and sieve through a 2 to 3 mm sieve. Then gradually add the remaining water.

Pole fishing: use five parts dry groundbait to two parts water and follow the same two-stage moistening process. For the best result, you can moisten the groundbait several hours in advance.

Paste: use one part dry groundbait to one part water. First add 70% of the water, leave to stand for approximately 15 minutes and, after adding the remainder, knead thoroughly to work out the air.

Frequently asked questions

Why do even the finest particles sink?
The extruded ingredients are formulated so that even small groundbait particles sink to the bottom. This temporarily creates a light cloud around the feeding spot.

Do I need to sieve Cresta Marukyu EXP?
Yes, for Method, Hybrid and pole fishing use, Cresta recommends a 2 to 3 mm sieve after the first resting period. This distributes the moisture evenly.

Can I use this groundbait as hook Paste?
Yes. The official Paste preparation creates a soft mixture that breaks down slowly and can be easily moulded onto the hook.
