Cresta Easy Change Bead – quick hooklength changes

The Cresta Easy Change Bead creates a compact connection between the main line and hooklength in a free-running feeder rig. The soft bead also acts as a feeder stop and helps protect the knot from direct stress.

The removable insert has an opening on one side for attachment to the main line and a notch on the other side for hooking in the hooklength loop. Once you slide the insert into the bead, the hooklength is secured. This makes it quick and easy to remove, change or replace without retying knots.

How do I attach the hooklength?

Hook the hooklength loop into the notch of the insert and slide the insert fully into the soft bead. Pull the insert back out of the bead when you want to change the hooklength.

Is this bead only suitable for method feeders?

No. Cresta states that the Easy Change Bead can be used with both method feeders and other feeders in a free-running rig.
