The Arca Boom Threader Wire is a long, flexible elastic puller for fitting pole elastic in top kits and rod sections. First feed the wire through the empty rod section, attach the elastic to the end, then pull it back through the top kit in a controlled manner.

At three metres long, this is a practical tool for longer top kits. The flexible wire follows the rod section without having to push the elastic through separately. Use it to fit both Arca Solid Pole Elastic High Stretch and Arca Hollow Pole Elastic High Stretch, and check beforehand that all sections are clean, dry and free from sharp edges.

Feed the wire from the desired opening through the empty top kit. Attach the elastic securely but as slimly as possible to the end and pull the wire back slowly. Do not force it if you feel resistance.

Yes, the threader is suitable for guiding different types of pole elastic through a top kit. Ensure the connection between the wire and elastic is no thicker than the opening of the bush and the narrowest passage in the rod section.

What should I do if the wire gets caught?
Do not pull it further with force. Take the sections apart, check for dirt, damage or too sharp a bend, and feed the wire through straight again. This prevents damage to the threader, elastic and top kit.
