These rigs were designed in collaboration with five-time world champion Alan Scotthorne and are largely based on Alan's own rigs and rig diagrams. They took over a year to develop and are hand-tied in Drennan's own factories.
They are designed for commercial fishing and feature the latest AS series pole floats. They are made from the highest quality balsa and have a special, durable acrylic paint finish that provides exceptional strength and durability. They have highly visible hollow tips reinforced within the body and feature a new style of lightweight, black stainless steel eyes that are line-friendly and a huge improvement over conventional spring eyes.
A sensible size range from No. 10 to No. 8 is used throughout, and the size pattern is based on Alan's own recommendations. Each float has three correctly positioned float rubbers to keep the float in place. Drennan Supplex line is used throughout, and all loops are tied with a reliable figure-eight knot.
Each rig comes with an innovative new, hardened pole winder made from glass-filled nylon and a unique pole winder design that allows you to have the hook right at the end, preventing the hooklength from kinking. The winders are also clearly labeled, and detailed rig information is printed on the front.
As close as you can get in mass production to what Alan Scotthorne himself uses. Undoubtedly the best ready-made fishing rigs available!
