Description
Van Den Eynde BC Collant is finely ground baby corn with strong binding power and a striking yellow colour. The ingredient is added to groundbait to increase binding and is especially useful for groundbait balls or mixes that need to remain compact during casting and sinking.
The sweet corn base is well suited to fishing for bream and carp. Add BC Collant gradually and check how the mix responds after moistening. A typical maximum is 20 to 25% of the total dry groundbait mix.

Official recipe for running water
In an official Van Den Eynde recipe for lightly flowing to running water, 250 g of BC Collant is combined with 1 kg of Superroach Heavy, 500 g of G5 Special, 150 g of coco and 2 kg of Heavy Clay. First moisten all dry groundbaits except the clay, leave the mix to rest for 30 minutes, moisten it again, then add the clay.
Frequently asked questions
What does BC Collant do in my groundbait?
BC Collant increases binding power. This helps the mix stay together better during shaping, casting and sinking, while allowing you to control its final action through dosage and moistening.
How much BC Collant can I add?
Use a maximum of around 20 to 25% of the dry mix. Start with less if you only need a little extra binding, and always test a groundbait ball before preparing the full quantity.
When should I add clay to a mix with BC Collant?
In the official recipe above, the clay is only added after the groundbait has been moistened in two stages. This allows you to properly assess the binding of the dry groundbaits first.
