Sonubaits Cheesy Garlic Halibut Pellets combine black halibut pellets with a powerful, concentrated cheese and garlic flavour. Their distinctive aroma is particularly effective for barbel and chub, and remains highly detectable in coloured water or on a river with elevated water levels.

You can use the pellets dry in a feeder for a gradual release downstream. For a mesh or river feeder, you can lightly moisten them so they soften and compact more easily. The pressure used to fill the feeder then determines how quickly the pellets are released.

Preparing pellets for the feeder

1. Place only the required amount of pellets in a bait tub.
2. Add a small amount of water, just enough to moisten the outside.
3. Shake well and leave to soak for around 30 minutes.
4. Shake every five minutes during soaking to distribute the moisture evenly.

Compact the pellets more loosely when you want to create a bed of groundbait quickly at the start of the session. When packed more firmly, they stay in the feeder longer and release more slowly.
