Super Pellet Pump

The Preston Super Pellet Pump is an ultra-compact vacuum pump for quickly preparing expander pellets as soft, sinking hook bait. Developed by match angler Andy Findlay, it enables you to prepare a fresh batch of pellets in under 30 seconds.

The transparent body lets you easily monitor the process, while the pellet and water markings help you maintain the correct fill level. Thanks to the sturdy handle, wear-resistant seal and closing cap, you can build up controlled vacuum pressure. A suitable pellet to prepare with this pump is the Alltech Coppens Match RS Expander Pellet.

Frequently asked questions

Why are there Max. Pellets and Max. Water markings on the pump?

The markings help maintain enough free space for the plunger and the vacuum process. If you exceed them, it may become more difficult to operate the pump correctly.

Why must the excess air above the water line be removed?

By first pushing out this air, the pump can create targeted vacuum pressure around the pellets while pulling up the plunger.

Can I quickly make a new batch during a fishing session?

Yes. The compact design and short preparation time are specifically intended to let you make small, fresh batches of expander pellets on the bank.
