Euro Match GX and GXM Top Kits & Extensions

The Preston Euro Match GX Top Kits & Extensions are individual top kits and extension sections for the Euro Match GX/GXM range. They are intended to supplement an existing set or replace a specific component. First choose the function: a Match top kit for your rig, a Cupping Kit for feeding, a Power combination or a separate extension section. You are ordering the selected component, not a complete pole package.

Match top kits for your rigs

The GX Top 2, Top 3 and Top 4 differ in length. A longer top kit allows you to use more of the upper pole section as one assembled set. The GXM Top 2 is the same length as the GX Top 2, but is a separate model: the stated weights are 54 and 46 g respectively. Therefore, choose by the full model name, not just “Top 2”.

These lengths also apply to the correspondingly designated Cupping Kits. The GX Power Top 2 also measures 3.07 m, with a transport length of 157 cm.

Monoblock Tip: a separate top section

The GX Monoblock Tip is a separate 1.55 m, 12 g top section, not a complete Top 2, Top 3 or Top 4 kit. This section is designed for use with a single length of Elastic. The transport length is also 155 cm.

Cupping Kits for accurate feeding

Use a Cupping Kit to deliver Groundbait accurately to your swim. The GXM Cupping Top 2 belongs to the GXM designation; the Cupping Top 3 and Top 4 are GX versions. Do not confuse these feeding kits with the regular Match top kits on which your rig is set up.

Combining Power Top 2 with Power Section 3

For the GX Power Top 2, Preston specifies the matching GX Power Section 3 section. This Power combination is intended for Elastic up to 2.5 mm. This limit does not automatically apply to the regular Match kits or other components.

The Power Top 2 and Power Section 3 are separate items. The Power Section 3 section is 158 cm long and weighs 64 g; it is not a three-section top kit and is not automatically included when you select only the Power Top 2.

Mini extensions with their own model designation

Mini 4, Mini 5 and Mini 6 are different extension sections. Each section is 42.5 cm long and has a stated transport length of 43 cm. When replacing a section, check the full model designation.

Safe use: carbon conducts electricity. Do not use these pole sections near overhead power lines or during thunderstorms.
