Description
The Matrix MXB-1 X-Strong Eyed Barbed is an extra-strong barbed hook for hair rigs and targeted fishing for larger, powerful fish. Matrix based the model on its popular Feeder Rigger hook and further developed it with an out-turned eye, allowing the hooklength to be presented neatly in line with the hair.
The sharp point and robust construction make this hook suitable for carp, barbel, chub, bream and other large coarse fish. It performs particularly well with firm hookbaits such as worms, sweetcorn or meat on a hair rig, and is designed for anglers who prioritise strength and durability over an ultra-fine presentation.

Which fish species is this hook designed for?
The MXB-1 is developed for larger species such as carp, barbel, chub and bream, where a strong and reliable hook is required.
Which bait works well with the MXB-1?
Matrix recommends this model for firm baits on a hair rig, including worms, sweetcorn and meat.
Is this a barbless hook?
No. The MXB-1 Eyed Barbed has a barb. Therefore, check in advance whether this type of hook is permitted at your fishery.
