Banded Hair Rigs Barbless – 10 and 38 cm Ready-Tied Hooklengths with Bait Band and Barbless 💰

The Korum Banded Hair Rigs Barbless are ready-made hooklengths for presenting pellets, wafters and other compact hookbaits on a bait band. They combine a strong hair rig with a barbless hook and have been developed for fishing for larger, powerful fish.

A special durable bait band keeps the hookbait outside the hook bend, allowing the hook point to work freely. Korum uses larger line diameters and stronger hooks for this range than for light finesse rigs. According to the manufacturer, the bait band is more durable than a traditional latex band. You receive eight ready-to-use hooklengths per pack.

Frequently asked questions

How do I attach a pellet to the bait band?

Carefully stretch the bait band around the pellet using a suitable bait band tool or your fingers. The bait should be held securely, but do not stretch the band more than necessary.

What is the advantage of a barbless rig?

A barbless hook is generally quicker to remove and is mandatory on many commercial fisheries. Always check local fishing regulations before you start.

Does the hook point remain free with this setup?

Yes. The hookbait sits in the band on the hair and not directly on the hook. This keeps the point free, allowing the hook to turn and take hold effectively after the bait is taken.

What type of fishing is this rig designed for?

The rig is developed for larger, stronger fish where a fine standard hooklength may be too light. Always match the chosen version to the bait, fish species and strength of the rest of your setup.
